Graduated May 2012
"I cannot begin to express the level of satisfaction with my experience of obtaining my collegiate education at Cal Poly Humboldt. After completing my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Humboldt, there was not a doubt in my mind that I would benefit from receiving my Master’s Degree from Humboldt as well. Attending Humboldt allows you to have the experiential learning that is often unavailable at most institutions. I had the opportunity to be involved in many different capacities while at Humboldt (i.e., working in the Rec Center as a Supervisor, working as an assistant strength coach with athletes, operating the Human Performance Lab, teaching upper level graduate courses); due to these experiences my resume was bolstered with verbs that demonstrated my knowledge, skills and abilities, and I was able to receive multiple job offers before I even completed my master’s thesis defense. In short, the relationships I built with my mentors over the course of my graduate work will last a lifetime, and I will forever be indebted to the opportunities and knowledge they were able to share with me."
